Happy Birthday to My Little Bro

Today is my little brother's birthday.  Now when I say little it only applies in age.  By no means is he smaller than me, height wise of course.  This guy, besides my own children is the light of my life.

A brother and sister relationship is one that not everyone can understand.  You fight, yell, talk, love and irritate each other.  It's the nature of the beast that is a sibling relationship.

But I have the best little brother around.  We weren't always on the greatest terms growing up but seriously, what siblings are?  I honestly believe that it took a death to bring us closer together.  But from that moment forward I like to think we were brother and sister and friends.  He is the funniest guy I know and the best at quoting movie lines.  Cracks me up each time.

I hate that he lives so far away and I can't be with him on his special day but I will see him soon enough.

You are my rock.  You are the one who helps keep my head on my shoulders and guide me in the right direction.  It's funny when you think about the fact that I'm the big sister, because in most ways I feel the opposite.  I look up to you and everything you do.  You have accomplished so much that makes me so proud of you.  Even though you don't always like to have those deep conversations with me, you still listen and you still give your input.  You have such a loving and giving heart and I appreciate all that you do.  You are absolutely amazing to my two kids.  You have been there for them and loved them as if they were your own.
I can not imagine my life without you in it.  Thank you for always listening to me, picking me up when I fall, letting me cry in front of you, helping me through life and loving me the best way you can.
One day soon we will be in the same town again and I won't feel so lost without you around.  You are an amazing Man with the best values, heart and spirit.  Today on your birthday I hope that you know how much you are loved and cared for by your Big Sister.  I love you more than words.  The following is just for you:
