The Baseball Stud has been playing Little League since t-ball and has excelled at it every year. This year is his 3rd year in the Majors division and he is a true leader this year. His manager has made it clear that he expects him to be one of the leaders, something the Baseball Stud has NO problem with.
Last year wasn't one of the best for him and he really went into this season not sure if he wanted to play anymore. It made me sad to think about that but ultimately it is HIS decision if he plays or not. I will say I am glad that he decided to play and I really think he is too. We have an amazing manager this year who takes great pride in making sure the boys have fun but also learn and do well. He has words of the week that the boys focus on and they pray before each game. He takes time out to make sure each boy knows they did a good job and that they are valued and appreciated for their team efforts. I believe that the qualities our manager has is lost with most managers and coaches. I witnessed today a coach for our opposing team yell and scream at his players. I just stood there in awe, does he not realize that these boys are 11 & 12yrs old?? Does he think he is dealing with adults?? Although as an adult I wouldn't want to be talked to in this manner either. It certainly made me very grateful for the way our manager and coaches are with our boys.
We are truly lucky to have such an awesome team this year with exceptional boys who work very well together and love playing ball.
We won our game today and I am very proud of the Baseball Stud and everything he did. He ended up 4 for 4 with 3 singles and 1 double. He was shortstop, catcher and an amazing pitcher. All in all it makes me look forward to all of our games and watching these boys grow in their skill and mature into the productive young men they are.

1 crazy beautiful notes:
I am so glad that he has an awesome group of boys on his team this year. Sounds like the season started off right. Good for him. Looks beautiful there. It was cold and rainy for our opening day.
